Research.

Film is a transformative tool that can be used alongside qualitative and quantitative research. You will have access to the final film, select assets, and filmmakers.

Internships.

Your students want real-world, impactful opportunities before they hit the workforce. Interdisciplinary opportunities for students across film, marketing, public relations, social media, writing, public health, social work, and many others. This experience has the potential to be documented with student testimonials in a short film your institution can use for fundraising, recruitment, and marketing.

How can you become an educational partner?

Ways you can give

  • Help support production by having your institution(s) purchase the presale educational license bundle with the limited edition DVD or go big with a bespoke screening tour event, internships, and custom film for your institution

  • Receive a write-off by addressing the donation to our Non-profit Fiscal Sponsor: The International Documentary Association

  • The exposure from Partnership on a film is a boost to your brand and institution. Each Partner will receive a press release announcing their support. Talk to your accountant about including this as a marketing business expense on the tax year you give to the project.

  • If you know someone who would love to be a part of this project, be the connector. Supporting this film is a win-win for all involved.

The original creators’ story: Scott & Sarah Potter

Sarah Potter is finishing this documentary that her late husband started in 2018. After his passing, Sarah felt very strongly about making sure the documentary did not go unfinished. As a speech pathologist, she initially did not see herself as a good fit to complete the film. However, her husband’s filmmaker community encouraged and invested in her the time to explore if this was something Sarah was passionate about. She is now a full-time filmmaker on a mission to tell this story and finish what Scott started.

Our Partners

You are in good company. We are partnered with Muse Storytelling; our Executive Producer Patrick Moreau is a 5-time Emmy Award winning filmmaker.

Muse is built on years of research in psychology, neuroscience, anthropology, and sociology—all looking at one main thing: how we, as humans, connect. They found what grabs people's attention, makes something memorable, and what determines whether something is felt emotionally.
