Sarah’s background in speech language pathology and storytelling make her an exceptional asset to this project.
In 2010, her life- long hobby of genealogy turned into a profession that focused on uncovering and preserving family stories. Her husband Scott and she collaborated on projects that ranged from a Star Wars film featuring neuro diverse actors to a short piece about a family reconnecting with their father’s roots and his childhood home. She has recently began formal education with Muse Storytelling to expand her skills in storyfinding, production and film.
Scott was the owner and creative director of the film company Hidden Catalyst.
As a Muse Certified Storyteller, Scott began researching AFM at the urging of a friend who knew that the kids affected needed their voices to be heard. In November of 2019, he met and filmed Cami and her family to start the process of making a documentary. When Scott passed away from an unexpected illness in July 2020, Sarah and her children's lives were suddenly upended. Reflecting on Scott's mission to change the world through story, Sarah took the reins to continue Scott's vision for the AFM documentary. She considers it a part of her and Scott's legacy to finish this story.
